WHITE, Daniel – of Burton, MI, formerly of Indian River, MI, age 66, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Mt. Morris Community Church, 7245 N. Center Rd., Mt. Morris, MI 48458; Pastor Aaron Burton officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronon’s Place in Indian River, MI or to the family to help with medical expenses.
Daniel was born in Flint, MI on August 24, 1957, son of the late Charles “Chuck” and Betty (Lutze) White. Daniel graduated from Lakeville High School in 1975. On December 19, 2009, Daniel exchanged vows with his beloved Cheryl Carver, marking the beginning of a journey of shared dreams, joys, and cherished moments. Daniel's journey led him through the corridors of GM – Engine Plant, where he dedicated many years of his life to his work. In 2006, he bid farewell to his career, retiring with a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. Retirement did not mark the end of Daniel's adventures; rather, it opened up new avenues for him to explore his passion for the outdoors. From the tranquil waters of Indian River Marina to the rustic charm of Burt Lake State Park, Daniel found solace and joy amidst nature's embrace. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply basking in the beauty of the great outdoors, Daniel found true contentment in the simplicity of life's pleasures.
Yet, amidst all his pursuits, Daniel's greatest joy came from the company of his family and friends. He cherished nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations to come. Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering love for those around him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known him.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Ryan (Johnna) White; daughters, Lindsay (Brian) Jackson and Leandra (Jack) Swayne; step-sons, Anthony (Sarah) Couture and Christopher (Alicia) Couture; grandchildren, Damian, Payton, Electra, Chloe, Alec, Christos, Jack, Ashton, Charles, Garrett, Mallory and Chase; great-grandchild, Natalie; siblings, Marsha (Ben) Jensen, Paula (Gregg) Martin and Cathy (DP) White; mother of his children, Patricia Eickhoff; and many other loving family members and friends.
