WIGGERS, Curtis “Curt” Martin – of Otisville, MI, age 69, died peacefully on January 1, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center, with his wife by his side. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, January 6, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 212 Center Street, Otisville, MI 48463; Rev. Fr. Kenneth F. Coughlin celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Friday, January 6, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Curt’s memory.
Curt was born in Evansville, IN on November 13, 1953, son of the late Charles and Mary “Betty” (Zehner) Wiggers. He married Sarah “Sally” Martinus on June 23, 1984 in Otisville, MI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, trap and skeet, his cars and his Dobermans.
Curt is survived by his loving wife, Sally Wiggers; sister, Constance Montgomery; 2 step-siblings, Duane Edmonds and Shirley Brautigan; in-laws, Gerry (Marsha) Martinus, Rosemary (Paul) Schuster, Paul Martinus, Mat (Jan) Martinus, Kate (Matt) Barczuk and Luke Martinus; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-niece and great-great-nephews; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Wiggers; sister, Charlene Wiggers; step-father, Harvey Edmonds and brother-in-law, Roger Montgomery.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. Hemant Thawani and the ICCU staff at Hurley Medical Center for their care and compassion.
