Terry's life story is a beautiful testament to the warm and loving person he was. He entered this world in Flint, Michigan on October 23, 1954, the cherished son of the late Terry and Marilyn (Wright) Edwards, Sr. His journey began at Fenton High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1972. On August 26, 1978, Terry embarked on a lifelong adventure by marrying the love of his life, Kim Strzynski, in a heartwarming ceremony at Holy Rosary. This union marked the beginning of a remarkable chapter in his life. Terry dedicated 32.2 years of his life to General Motors, where he served as a skilled tradesman, holding two prestigious journeyman cards, one as a Tool Maker and another as a Machine Repairman. His commitment and expertise were truly commendable, leaving a lasting impact. Faith played a significant role in Terry's life, as he was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. Beyond his professional life, Terry was a man of remarkable talents. He had a green thumb, enjoying the art of gardening. His culinary skills were legendary, as he took pleasure in cooking and canning. When it came to sports, Terry was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, cheering passionately for his favorite teams. In his leisure time, he participated in two golf leagues for many years, forming lasting friendships with his partners, nephew, Craig Stephens and brother, Jerry Edwards. The shared experiences on the golf course created unforgettable memories. Terry had a delightful sense of humor, and one of his great joys was his fondness for all things related to the Three Stooges. Their slapstick comedy, witty antics, and timeless humor brought endless laughter into his life, and he shared that laughter with those around him. The Three Stooges' antics were a source of endless entertainment and a special bond that Terry held close to his heart, adding yet another layer to the many facets of his vibrant personality. However, above all else, Terry's heart belonged to his grandchildren. He found pure joy in their company, spending countless happy hours watching them play sports. His love and support were a source of inspiration to them and a testament to his dedication as a grandfather. Terry's life was one of love, dedication, and shared moments of joy. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, passion, and devotion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kim Edwards; 2 children, Terry “T.J.” (Alyson) Edwards and Kerri (Kristopher) Wiper; 6 grandchildren, Braxton, Jax, Jayde, Ryker, Ty and Greylyn; siblings, Penny (Walt) Novak, Pam (Randy) Giesey, Pat (Mark) Freeman, Peggy (Tony) Fortin, Jerry (Karen) Edwards and Polly ( Gregg) Ladd; special aunt and uncle, Diane and Kirk Hughes, sisters-in-law, Bev (Gerald) King, Cathy (Bob) Stacey and Peggy Strzynski; many special friends, nieces, nephews, cousins.
