Debbie was born in Flint, MI on August 31, 1951, daughter of the late Schuyler and Lula (Gooding) Lightheart. On August 29, 1970, Debbie married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Doman, in Flint, MI. Together, they built a loving home, and shared over four decades of joy, laughter, and cherished memories. Bob preceded her in death on December 21, 2018, and their bond remains an enduring testament to their love. Debbie dedicated 28 years of her life to General Motors, where she earned the respect of her colleagues and contributed to the company with hard work and dedication. She further pursued her passion for helping others by earning a medical certificate in medical administration from Ross Medical Education Center. Debbie was a woman of great faith, and her spirit shone brightly in everything she did. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church, where she found joy and fulfillment singing in the choir. Her love of music was an expression of her deep faith, and her voice uplifted all who heard it. A devoted mother and grandmother, Debbie’s love for her family was immeasurable. She had a heart of gold and was always there for those in need, offering support, wisdom, and kindness. Her laughter, her presence, and her unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Debbie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from shopping to singing, and she lived each day with a generous spirit and an open heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will forever be remembered. May Debbie rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Bob, and may her legacy live on in the lives she touched with love and grace.
Debbie is survived by 2 children, Robert “Bobby” (Christa) Doman Jr. and Nancy (friend, Jeff) Doman; 4 grandchildren, Samantha (friend, Nicholas) McGinnis, Vern (Rylee) McGinnis III, Mackenzie (Collin) Rose and Dakotah Doman; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Hadlee; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Schuyler and Lula Lightheart; husband, Robert “Bob” Doman and sister, Nancy McSpadden.
