MCCAIN, F. Wayne, of Fenton, age 64 passed away peacefully at Ascension Genesys Hospital as he went to live with Jesus on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was surrounded by his family as he made his journey to his heavenly home.
Funeral service will be held 12pm Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Rev. Dr. Mary Lloyd officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 4-7pm Sunday, 1-7pm Monday and 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Wayne was born in Cullman, Alabama on July 17, 1957, the son of Howard and Betty (Jones) McCain. He graduated from Ainsworth High School and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University.
Wayne worked for General Motors Truck Assembly and Mascotech Forming Technologies in Human Resources prior to becoming disabled many years ago. Wayne also served as an associate Jail Chaplin for Genesee County Jail with the Forgotten Man Ministries.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy; son, Christopher (Kira) McCain; his treasured granddaughter, Victoria (Tori); brother, Terry (CJ) McCain; his beloved dog, Angel; faithful cat, Mallory; his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
