Herrington, Donalda Mae, age 92, of Saginaw, formerly of Flushing, died Sunday, February 2, 2025, at home. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home, 307 E. Main St. Flushing. Pastor Paul Pfeuffer will officiate. A private burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon.
Donalda was born in Flint, Michigan on July 19, 1932, the daughter of Orby and Sarah (Galbraith) Ivester. She married James Herrington on July 2, 1951, in Flint. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2018. Donalda was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She never had an unkind word to say. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and drawing. Donalda worked in the office for over 20 years at Fostrian Manor. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Donalda is survived by her children, Matthew Herrington, Timothy and wife Diana Herrington, Peter and wife Jodi Herrington, Katie Beltran; grandchildren, Jason, Noah (Laura), Nathan, Kiel (Andrea), Adam, Joshua, Rebecca, Adam, Wyatt, Zoe, Aidan, Benjamin (Amy), Sarah; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Joel Beltran; parents; and brother, Jack Ivester. |
