Gary was born January 17, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Homer & Pauline (Dowless) Eggers. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He married his loving wife Susan Crane on December 31, 1970, in Otisville, MI. Gary was a retired member of Ironworkers Local 25, the Eagles both in Lapeer and Vassar, Willow Springs Golf Club - Millington MI, Birch Run Moose Club, He enjoyed Golfing, riding his Harley, and watching the Red Wings. Gary was an accomplished painter, and avid hunter, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his Wife: Susan, children: Nathan (Leandra) Eggers, Mathew Eggers, brother: Michael (Janice) Eggers, grand dogs: Bruno, Red, beloved dog Buster, many nieces and nephews, golfing buds and neighbors in Columbiaville and Lapeer. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ronald, Daniel. Special thanks to McLaren Hospice staff for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life for Gary will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM. at the Eagles Hall 2380, in Vassar, Michigan. Chaplain Michael Dalrymple officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Gary may be made to the Eagles - Vassar, McLaren Lapeer Region Pulmonary Unit. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.
