NEWBOLD, Christopher – of Clio, formerly of Frankenmuth, age 62, died unexpectedly Monday, May 22, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held 11AM Friday, June 2, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 2PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Chris was born November 18, 1960, to the late Harold and Helen (Skimson) Newbold. He attended Frankenmuth High School where he received his high school diploma and attended tech school in Wisconsin where he received his Specialized Welding Certification. Chris was a successful, self-employed welding repairman for many years and was a member of the Clio Eagles 3609. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for six years. On September 16, 1983, Christopher married his best friend, Debra Mueller, and together they welcomed two beautiful children to the world. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, hunting, and fishing. Most importantly, Chris loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He was the most incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Christopher is forever loved by his wife, Debra Newbold; Children: Jena (Derrick) Howe and Jason (Sheila) Newbold; Grandchildren: Luca, Emmett, Lillian, Otto, and Charlotte; Siblings: Jody (Nancy) Newbold, Jeffery (Jessica) Newbold, Kelly (Charles) Weiss, and Lisa Newbold; Brothers-in-law: Randy (Mike) Mueller and Larry (Carole) Mueller; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen; Mother and Father-in-law; Many aunts and uncles. |
