Born on March 21, 1968, in Durand, Michigan, to Leo and Marie (Harr) Miller, Daniel was a man of great passion and spirit, whose creative soul shone brightly through his love of music and the great outdoors. Daniel's early life was filled with the joys of small-town living and the bonds of a close-knit family. He was a proud graduate of Perry High School, Class of 1986, where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. He married Devin Marie Ostrander on June 19, 1993 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrice. Daniel's career path led him to become a skilled meat cutter, a job he performed with dedication for many years. However, it was his musical talent that truly defined him; as the guitarist for the band Crash Landing, Daniel shared his love for music and delighted audiences with his spirited performances.

Throughout his life, Daniel found joy in piecing together the mysteries of both the tangible and the abstract interests; an avid lover of puzzles as well as his connection to nature was profound. He felt most at home while hunting, fishing, and camping, surrounded by the tranquility of the outdoors. Daniel took great pride in his yard, devoting time to its care, and found relaxation in maintaining his home—a sanctuary for himself and his beloved cats, Gizmo and Dobie.

He is survived by his daughters, Samantha (Trevor Dunne) Miller, Amanda Miller, Deeleena (Peyton Smith) Miller, and his treasured granddaughter, Penelope Smith. His mother, Marie Miller, and siblings, Tom Miller, and MaryBeth (Steve) Schill, along with Mary Miller, will fondly remember Daniel's vibrant presence. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Devin Miller, his father, Leo, and his sister, Theresa.

As we bid farewell to Daniel, we celebrate the indelible mark he has left on our hearts and the world around him. Those who knew him will remember a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and sought beauty in every note of music and every leaf in the forest.
