Robert Jerry Hajek, of New Lothrop,
died February 27, 2024, at St. Mary's hospital in Saginaw, at the age of 89.
Bob was born on July 4, 1934, the son of Joseph and Marie (Misek) Hajek, in New Lothrop. At a young age, he started work on his centennial farm, where he would eventually become a life-long, dedicated farmer. Bob married the love of his life, Mary Ann Mikula on February 5, 1955. Together they spent 47 years before she preceded him in death in 2003. Bob worked at General Motors Buick Division, before he retired.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman. You could often times find him hunting, fishing, spending time at his camper at Kamp Villa, at the casino, out to eat with his sweetheart, Susie, or enjoying time with his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Kim (Debra) Hajek, Chris (Rhonda) Hajek; six grandchildren, Corey and wife, Casey (Jessie), Tonya (Travis), Megan, Hannah (Dan), Carrie Ann (Neil); great-grandchildren, Haleigh (Jack), Leah (Tate), Ryder, Ellary, Parker, Noelle, Dominic, and Ariana; family friend, Joni and Greenlee, his lady friend of 18 years, Susie. The family would like to give a special thanks to Bob's caretakers, Lisa and Amy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, siblings, Bessie, Frank, Anna, and his parents.
A visitation will take place on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2:00PM till 7:00PM at McGeehan Funeral Home - New Lothrop Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00AM, with visitation starting at 10:00AM until the time of service, at McGeehan Funeral Home - New Lothrop Chapel.
Memorial donations can be made to the family.
