RIVERS, John E. Jr. – Of Flint, age 75, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 17, 2022 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Kevin Simonye officiating.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the family.
John was born in Flint, Michigan on August 15, 1946, the son of John Sr. and Onalee (Mullet) Rivers. John was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved golfing and bowling. John always loved and wanted to be a baseball player. John was an outgoing jovial man. He loved people and the Lord. John loved to read and study his Bible. He will be missed by many.
Surviving are son, Michael;
Grandson, Philip Studnicka;
Granddaughter, Destiney Rivers;
Step-son, Matthew (Felicia) Martin;
Sister, Sandra Steward;
Niece, Viki LaCross;
Great niece, Faith Simonye;
And great nephew, Caleb Simonye.
