SMITH, Genevee N. – of Davison, age 92, passed away January 31, 2014 at Stonegate Health Campus. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-7 PM Sunday, 6-8 PM Monday and 12 PM until time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice or Faith Assisted Living, 320 Dockham Dr., Columbiaville, MI 48421.
Genevee was born in Flint, MI on August 3, 1921, daughter of the late Frank and Annabelle (Bechtel) McGeathy. She married W. Jim Smith on June 10, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1986. Genevee loved sewing and crocheting but her greatest love was being with her grandchildren.
Genevee is survived by her children, Carol Favil, Anthony (Kathleen) Smith and Michael (Gloria) Smith; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Smith. She was preceded in death by her son, James Smith; son-in-law, Richard Favil; eight siblings.
