FABRIS, Sharon Rose (Delorenzo) – Of Flint, age 82, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, September 11, 2023 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, MI.
Father Andrew Czajkowski officiating.
Private Entombment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the Mass.
Sharon was born in Flint, Michigan on July 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Peter and Esther (Stenfors) Delorenzo. She graduated from Flint Central High School. On February 4, 1961, Sharon married the love of her life, Frederick Fabris at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was a revered Bus Driver for over 20 years with the Carman Ainsworth School District. Sharon exemplified the word “mother”. Her big heart and endless love touched all who knew her. Her happy place was spending time at the cottage with her family and friends where she loved to cook…if a little was good, more was better. Sharon had strong faith and enjoyed celebrating the Christmas season year round.
Surviving are daughters, Julie (Steve) Gagne, Jill (Todd) Pearce, Janelle (Jeff Sherbino) Wallace;
grandchildren, Stephanie Gagne, Grant and Gabrielle Pearce and Brett Wallace;
great-grandson, Forrest Gagne;
sisters, Ellen (Tom) Barrows and Carol Ann (Tom) Ward;
several loving brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Desoline Cokley, Geri Zandi, Mary Ann Isaacson and Jerry Deibis;
many special nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Fred, sister-in-law, Gloria Deibis, brothers-in-law, Ron Isaacson, Bill Zandi; as well as special nieces and nephews.
