EDDY, John Forrest– of Goodrich, MI, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM, Tuesday May 31, 2022, at Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 S. State Rd. Goodrich, MI 48438; Pastor Joel Walther officiating. The family will receive visitors at 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Goodrich United Methodist Women’s Organization, in John’s memory.
John was born in Burton, MI on October 12, 1934, son of the late Earl and Gladys (Austin) Eddy. He married Wilma Dill on Nov. 27, 1954. John retired from the Flint Police Department in 1986, after 26 years of service. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing in his free time. John was a long-time member of the Goodrich Methodist Church.
John is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wilma; 3 sons, Scott (Donna), Michael (Angela) and Kirk (Connie) Eddy; many grand and great grandchildren, as well as many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gladys Eddy, and brothers, Eugene and Wayne Eddy.
