SCOTT, Dorla J. – of Clio, age 91, died peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Tony Chick officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Dorla was born on March 9, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Floyd and Neva (Allen) Goff; and raised by her grandparents, the late Leonard and Ethel Goff. She married William C. Scott on September 27, 1947, in Flint. He preceded her in death February 9, 2003. Dorla faithfully attended Living Promise fellowship in Flushing. She enjoyed collecting antiques and even had her own space at Thrifty Treasures Antiques where she sold some of her own treasures. Dorla also enjoyed flower gardening and poetry. She loved all animals; but her favorites were horses and dogs. Dorla had a heart of gold and loved to help people any way she could. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Children: Patricia (Elmer) Lerette, Paulette (Donald) Keene, William Scott, and Laura (Dan) Atkins; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
