Carol M. Montrull - of Flushing, MI age 75, passed away on January 28, 2021 at home with her family. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 11am - 1:30pm at Reigle Funeral Home - 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI. A private memorial service will take place at Reigle Funeral Home. Carol was born in Detroit, MI to the late Waldemar Schotter and Martha (Schwedt) Schotter. As a lifetime member of the New Apostolic Church, she was active in the choir, played the organ, was a Sunday School teacher, sent out many handmade cards to members, and lovingly supported her husband in the youth and congregation ministry for over 44 years. Throughout the years, Carol worked in numerous office positions, but she was finally able to pursue her true passion for floral design when she became the Floral Manager at Brown Funeral Home. She created many beautiful arrangements during her 17 years at the funeral home, as well as decorating altars and stages for her church. She is survived by her husband Dennis of 55 years, and two children Lynn Sommerstorfer (Peter) of Macomb, MI, and Scott Montrull (Katie) of Merritt Island, FL, two grandchildren, Kyle and Jake Sommerstorfer; her brother, Raymond (Charlene) Schotter; five nieces and their families. She was preceded in death by her favorite fur-baby, Monte. She will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Absolute Hospice - 9463 Holly Road Suite 104, Grand Blanc, MI, Flushing Christian Outreach - 5409 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI or American Cancer Society - www.cancer.org in memory of Carol.
