WEBER Dr. Gary R. – Of Davison, age 81, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at his residence, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI,
Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Visitation 1pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dr. Gary Weber’s name to Calvary Community Church or Salvation Army.
Gary was born in Southfield, Michigan on January 5, 1944. Dr. Weber possessed academic and athletic abilities as well as leadership skills. He led a life of service as a health professional and community volunteer and participated in numerous boards and committees. He was also a past member and trustee of the Flint Elks #222. Dr. Weber married Bonnie Miller in 1965. He graduated in 1968 from the University of Michigan and spent two years in the United States Air Force at Strategic Air Command (SAC) headquarters. After that, he began 30 years of practice in Grand Blanc Township until 2000. He and Bonnie enjoyed several years of retirement in Fort Myers, Florida where he continued to enjoy golf, skiing and diving. Returning to Michigan in 2014, Dr. Weber served again becoming a “Rides to Wellness” driver for the Flint MTA.
Surviving are wife, Bonnie;
daughters, Kristina Fowler and Anginette (Greg) Cox;
grandchildren, Ryan Cox and Natalie Cox of Columbus, Ohio;
and brother, Greg (Lori) Weber of Swartz Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Weber, and brother, John L. Weber.
