RICKMAN, Russell – of Flint, MI, age 99, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Davison Assembly of God Church, 1234 S. Gale Rd., Davison, MI; Pastor Morris Moos and Pastor Dean Gardner officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until time of service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Assembly of God Church or the Salvation Army.
Russell was born in Senath, Missouri on February 4, 1923; the son of the late Charles and Orby Rickman. He married Gracie “Earline” Morris on January 10, 1948. Russell proudly served his country in the United States Army; receiving numerous accreditations with multiple Purple Heart Medals. He retired from General Motors after 30 plus years of loyal service.
Russell is survived by son, Darrell (Mary Lynn) Rickman; grandchildren: Shari (Tim) Bayer and Staci Rickman; great-grandchildren; Christian, Grace, and Charley; many other loving nieces and nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie in 2012; parents, Charles and Orby Rickman; sister, Gladys (James) Fisk.
