Kenneth A. Kluender of Flint, formerly of Davison, age 82, died Friday December 3, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday December 8, 2021 at Calvary United Methodist Church 2111 Flushing Rd. Flint. Rev. Gregory E. Timmons officiating: burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3-6 pm Tuesday at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Kenneth will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Ken’s memory to the Church Memorial Fund.
Kenneth was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 9, 1939 the son of the late Arwin & Hester (Wolfgram) Kluender and had resided in Davison in his early years, before moving to Flint. He was joined in marriage to Ruth Ann Condon on January 29, 1966 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Flint and she preceded him in death on February 8, 2015. Ken was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1958 and a graduate of Flint Junior College. Answering the call of his country Ken served in the US Army. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, and Genesee County Radio Club (W8ACW). Ken had been employed by General Motors, Chevrolet Division where he served his apprenticeship and worked in skilled trades as a machine repairman until his retirement on October 1, 1999.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Lori Ann Kluender, son Kevin Kluender, and host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by son Kenneth Kluender Jr, and a sister Lynette Foehser. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome..net
