ST.CIN, Rev. Gerald A. - age 87 of Flushing, died March 13, 2023. A memorial service will be held March 29, 2023, 1:00 pm at West Court Street Church of God, 2920 W Court St, Flint, MI 48503 with Pastor Brad Walker officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family or to the St. Louis Church of God Campgrounds. Pastor St.Cin was born June 16, 1935, in Gideon, MO, the son of Vernon and Nellie (Davis) St. Cin. He married Barbara Casner on December 14, 1957. Jerry moved to Flint from Gideon, MO to work at General Motors. Rev. Herb Thompson, Jerry’s mentor, persuaded Jerry to quit GM to become the Youth Pastor at West Court Street Church of God, which began his 44-year call as a Church of God pastor. In 1960, Rev. St.Cin was then called to serve as Pastor at First Church of God in Meridian, MS where he served for six years. Jerry and Barb were called back to Flint in 1966 to Dupont St. Church of God (later relocated and named Westwood Church of God) retiring after 35 years as senior pastor. Surviving are wife, Barbara St.Cin; two sons, Tim (Dawn) St.Cin and Dan (Roxanne) St.Cin, daughter-in-law Della St.Cin; grandchildren, Rob (Jade) St.Cin, Jill (Levi) Garrett, Jennifer (Ben) Riedel, Erica Stutzman, Mandy St.Cin, Emily St.Cin, Steve (Wendy) Sigourney, and Sandy Sigourney; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and Jerry and Barb’s best friends Vance and Carrie Kupisch. Pastor St.Cin was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mark St.Cin, brother, Jim St. Cin; sister, Anna Ruth Holt, brother-in-law, Lawrence Holt; close friend and Minister of Music Ellsworth Jackson.
