DuVall, Michael Eugene of Flushing, age 73, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, November 25, 2024, at his home, in the arms of his three daughters; surrounded by his family and beloved dogs after losing his long courageous battle with cancer. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Pfeuffer will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 12 noon Monday until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on January 27, 1951, the son of Clifford and Joan (Shaffer) DuVall. Michael was hardworking and proud of his trade as a flooring installer and owner and operator of the Carpet Workshop. He was a member of the Flushing Rifle Club where he loved shooting skeet and was affectionately known as Rambo. Music was a large part of Michael’s life and he was a member of several bands as a drummer. Michael loved cars of all kinds. He was fond of restoring and collecting antique cars and placed in many car shows. Jaguars were his favorite, and he always made sure his cars were meticulously cleaned and well taken care of. Michael was always the life of the party, always telling jokes, and making others laugh. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking and loved all animals. Michael had a strong and steadfast faith. His greatest joy in his life were his daughters.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Heidi DuVall-Arias (Josè Arias), Jillian DuVall (Brian Bunton), Jessica Franks (Cory Franks); grandchildren, Tori, Cheo, Kai, Nevaeh, Hayden; great-granddaughter, Kennedy; mother, Joan; siblings, Todd, Kevin, Jody (Brian); beloved dogs, Heidi and Greta; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Clifford; and brothers Ricky and Mark.
