SPRINGSTEEN, Gary Wayne – of Davison, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Chaplain Don Cox officiating. Private interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Monday, August 22, 2022 and 12-2 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, www.helpfightra.org, in Gary’s memory.
Gary was born in Flint, MI on February 15, 1948, son of the late Wayne and Edith (Vickers) Springsteen. He married Judy Trombley on November 17, 1967 in Otisville, MI. Gary retired from General Motors in 1998 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 659 and Old Newsboys. Gary was a retired rodeo clown who loved attending local rodeos. He also enjoyed playing softball, watching Westerns and hunting.
Gary is survived by his wife, Judy Springsteen; 5 children, Roxanne (Jeff) Lott, Greg (Tami) Simon, Lynette (Marty) Wirth, Kim (Steve) Campbell and Chad Springsteen; 6 grandchildren, Raven (Paul) Springsteen-Skunsk, Cortney (Butch) Schaar, Travis (Cecily) Simon, Taylor Simon, Brendan Springsteen and Reece Campbell; 4 great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Sage, Nova and Gannon; 6 siblings, James Springsteen, Vickie Benear, Connie (Tony) Grignani, Daniel (Nancy) Springsteen, Sally Spencer and Jeff Springsteen; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Edith Springsteen and brother, Greg Springsteen.
