HOUSEHOLDER, Diane M. (Haeger) – of Flint, age 60, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held. Inurnment will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association, in Diane’s memory.
Diane was born in Flint, MI on July 29, 1964, daughter of David and Dorothy (Johnson) Haeger. She married Melvin R. Householder, Jr. on September 12, 1992, in Flint, Michigan. Diane had a passion for creativity and enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, and card-making. She also loved camping and spending time outdoors. A dedicated employee at Al Serra Auto Plaza, she worked there for nearly 20 years, building lasting friendships along the way. Known for her generosity, Diane had a heart for giving and found great joy in baking—especially during the holiday season, when she filled her home with warmth and sweet treats. She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared with family and friends.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Melvin; son, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Householder; siblings, Dawn (Jeff) Johnson and Denise (Rick) Frost; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, David and Dorothy Haeger; siblings: Dorothy “Dory” Hale and David Haeger.
