YOUNG, Mary Lou - Of Flint, age 81, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Per family wishes, flowers to be sent in lieu of memorial contributions.
Visitation 4-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mary Lou was born in Parma, MO on October 24, 1932, the daughter of Roy Hamlin and Mary (Ramsey). On April 7, 1951, she married James S. Young. Mary Lou was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a longtime hairdresser. Mary Lou was also a member of Bishop Sewing Group for many years.
Surviving are sons, Dr. Steve and wife Ellen Young, James Young, Mark and wife Norma Young;
grandchildren, Jesse, Kate, Gabriella, Neil, James and Ben;
great-grandchildren, Maikayla and Lacey;
sisters-in-law, Ruth Young, Eulene Prater, Joanna Tinnin and Clara, Delores Young;
and special friend, Martha Liley.
