SISLER, Charles R. - age 97, of Linden, formerly of Flushing, died June 19, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettel officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will be held 1 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake, MI. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice. Charles was born August 25, 1925 in Lansing, the son of Charles P. and Alberta (Crumm) Sisler. He attended Flint Central High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II as a medic. Charles married Della Mae Burt on December 26, 1945 and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2014. He retired from General Motors as an Inspector. Charles was very active at Hilltop Church of God in Flint. He loved playing cards and was talented at counted cross stitch. Surviving are: three sisters-in-law, Janice (Dave) Florida of Linden, Virginia Corwin of Roscommon, and Judy (Ernie) Thompson of Fife Lake; many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Donald (Barbara) Sisler and Carl Sisler. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Promedica Hospice.
