CAMPBELL, James Taylor, Jr. – of Flint, MI, age 59, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Dan Hillaker officiating. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in Jim’s memory.
Jim was born in Flint, MI on February 27, 1963, son of James and Gail (Stevens) Campbell, Sr. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School Class of 1981. Jim was also a graduate of Hurley School of Nursing. He married Keli Goss on June 26, 2010 in Flint, MI. Jim retired as a Registered Nurse from Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich, MI in 2012 after many years of service. He was a member of Faith Church of Linden. Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing his Fender bass guitar and a nice cigar. He loved his human family, his church family and his fur babies, Vixen, Puddin’ Pop and Macky Dude and his grand-fur babies, Moose, Stache, Cooper, Marley and Roco.
Jim is survived by his wife, Keli Campbell; 2 sons, James (Sarah) Campbell III and Jeffrey (Elissa) Campbell; 2 grandchildren, Destiny Fleenor and Te’a (Nathan Willson) Fleenor; great-grandson, Walker Willson; parents, James and Gail Campbell Sr.; brother, William (Deanna) Campbell; 3 brothers-in-law, Kevin (Bernadene) Goss, Jeff (Barb) Goss and Shawn (Dana) James; sister-in-law, Rita (Carl) James; 6 nephews, Tim (Joceline) Campbell, Tony (Emily) Campbell, Matthew James, Hunter James, Christopher Goss and Tyler (Consuleo) Goss; 6 nieces, Melissa (Chris) Jones (with soon to be a great-niece or a great-nephew), Arielle Murphy-Goss, Brittany (Tim) Lance, Kaitlin (James) Parry, Hayley (Craig) Murray and Alyssa (Aaron) Snead; 4 great-nieces, Henley Parry, Ric Murphy-Goss, Everleigh Snead and Felicity Goss; 4 great-nephews, Spencer Parry, Bentley Snead, Grayson Snead and Conrad Murray; 4 cousins, Sheila (Lance) Mossman, Tammy Holland, Darcy (Lenny) Robinson and Debbie (Steve) Walterhouse; bonus nephews, Chad Desgrange, Taylen Desgrange, Gerami Desgrange, Clinton Desgrange and Pierce Desgrange; bonus nieces, Mande Moore, Arianna Desgrange and Camreigh Desgrange; former mother-law, Betty Wagner; mother of his sons, Gail Desgrange; the entire Wagner family; special friend and mentor, Pastor Dan Hillaker; best friend, Mark Pittenger Sr.; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Darleen Taeckens and Mama Ruth (Joe) Campbell; great-grandparents, Nanny and Papa Platz; 2 aunts, Cecelia Pastiva and Cookie Swadling; special uncle, Clyde DeWitt; father-in-law, Walt Wagner and parents-in-law, Joan (James) Fearon and Patrick (Betty) Goss.
