Cora Louise Hodges age 73 passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour is at 12 Noon pm Monday April 18, 2022, at Jackson Memorial Temple 3155 W. Carpenter Rd. Flint, MI. 48504. Funeral services commencing at 1:00pm at the church. Ms. Hodges will lie in state at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. and may be viewed on Saturday April 16, 2022, from 10am-2pm at the funeral home. Cora Louise Hodges was born March 10, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of Simon and Frances Hodges (Osborne). Cora accepted Christ at an early age and was a former member at Jackson Memorial Temple. Cora received her Business Degree in Business Management from Jordan College, she retired from Citizens Bank and Sears Roebuck, she was a devoted mother and grandmother known as Aunt Buggy, her famous home recipes, such as Carmel Cake and Peach Cobbler, and also loved playing games on her phone and sewing. Cora leaves to cherish her memories Grandson Josiah Hodges, Sister’s Lillian Zayas, Shirley Davis, Lois (Michael Cash Sr.) Brother Steven Payne, Host of Nieces, and Nephews, a second mom to niece Adrienne White-Kilgore. She was instrumental in raising Angelique George, Brigette Davis, Brittney Calhoun, Brandi Calhoun, Sydnie Osborne, Nephews Nigel Hodges and Derracio Davis. Ms. Hodges was preceded in death by her Son Damon Hodges, Parents Simon & Frances Hodges, Special Aunt Alice Page who was like a sister, Granddaughter Ashley Hodges, Brothers Curtis Osborne, and Nathanial Hodges. |
