Periard, Heidii – of Birch Run, age 58, died Friday, October 21, 2022, at her residence surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Saint Francis and Clare Catholic Parish – 12157 Church St. Burial to follow at Cook Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 2PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 10AM until Mass begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Birch Run Parent Teacher Organization.
Heidii was born July 8, 1964, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Duane and Ruth (Schram) Munson. She graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1982. She continued her education at Central Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University earning her bachelor’s and master’s Degrees in Education. Heidii married Phil Periard on July 27, 1985. She worked for Birch Run Area Schools for 26 years as a teacher and administrator. Overall, she served 31 years in education. Heidii was an avid member of Saint Francis and Clare Catholic Parish. She was involved in the Birch Run PTO and the Birch Run Area Athletic Association. She enjoyed camping, watching her children compete and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all her favorite hobby was Phil. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and educator who will be remembered by our community with her daily phrase, “Make it great day or not, the choice is yours”.
Surviving are: Husband of 37 years, Phil Periard; Children: Tyler (Tracy) Periard, Samantha (Daniel) Lubelan, Elizabeth (Andrew) DeHate, and William Periard; Grandchildren: Quinn, Blair, Meredith, Bo, Daniel, Wren, Ivan, and Victor; Father, Duane Munson; Siblings: Wendy (Jeff) Wachowicz and Dewey (Angelia) Munson; Several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Munson; Mother and Father-in-Law, William, and Dorothy Periard; Brother-In-Law, Ed Periard; Nephew, Wade Munson.
