HEMINGWAY, Mark David – of Columbiaville, MI, age 63, unexpectedly passed into Jesus’ Glory on Saturday, August 13, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, August 19, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 7306 E. Atherton Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shawn Kook officiating. Interment will be in Hollenbeck Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-3 PM and 5-8 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist School, in Mark’s memory.
Mark was born in Flint, MI on April 24, 1959, son of Lawrence and Gloria (Nowlin) Hemingway. Mark married Cynthia Lou Clark on June 12, 1982, and they recently renewed their vows for their 40th Anniversary. He retired from Delphi in 2009 after 28 years of service. After retirement, he started his own STEM consulting firm, Tri-Cord Tech. Mark was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church. He was also a member of Gideons International for 9 years, serving as secretary. His greatest passions were his faith in Christ, his wife and his family, especially his grandchildren and his Pomeranian, Inde. He greatly enjoyed inventing, tinkering and vacationing with his family outdoors in Tennessee.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Cyndi; 4 children, Adam (Ashlee), Joy (Joe) Amaya, Abbey (David) Freiburger and Betsy (Eric) Edwards; 3 grandchildren, Ari (Charlotte) and Denny (Vladyn) Amaya, and Teddy Freiburger; parents, Lawrence and Gloria Hemingway; in-laws, Bob and Barbara Clark; 3 siblings, Lori (Joe) Schaffer, Todd (Wendy) Hemingway and Lynn (Rob) Mosher; brother-in-law, Rob Clark; sister-in-law, Laurie Monroe; and many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua David Hemingway; and granddaughter, Alice Elaine Amaya.
