Evans, Janet L. – of Montrose, age 72, passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2024, at Hospice House of Shiawassee. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Janet’s Life will be held at 4PM on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 1PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee.
Janet was born August 21, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Alexander and Helen (Beach) Clark. Janet was a dedicated individual who valued education and hard work. She graduated from Northern High School in 1969 and later pursued a degree in medical coding from Baker College, where she excelled and was on the deans, honor, and president list from 2002-2006. On February 16, 1979, she married Wayne Evans. Janet had a passion for writing children's books and exploring her creativity through arts and crafts. She found joy in reading, ceramics, and constructing intricate fairy houses. Known for her culinary skills, Janet delighted in baking and cooking for her loved ones. However, above all else, Janet cherished her grandchildren, whose presence brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life. Her determination and can-do attitude were qualities that defined her, as she faced challenges with courage and resilience.
Left to cherish her memory: Husband of 45 years, Wayne Evans: Children: Brandon (Shannon) Evans, Tori (Dutch) Wesener, and Brent (Kristi) Evans; Grandchildren: Larissa Evans, Madison Evans, Amelia Wesener, Ethan Wesener, Bria Wesener, Mayka Evans, Alexandria Evans; Brother, Alex (Terri) Clark; She was blessed with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Hospice House of Shiawassee for all the compassion and care given.
