CLYDE, Mary Lou – of Birch Run, age 92, died peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Winter Village in Frankenmuth. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 10AM until 1PM. Due to Covid 19 and government regulations, only 25 people are allowed in our chapel at one time and masks are required. Thank you for your understanding. Private family funeral services will be held. Graveside committal service will be at 2PM Tuesday in Cook Cemetery. Pastor Scott Kroener officiating.
Mary was born November 29, 1928 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania to the late Clifford and Iva (Weller) Ruby. She married Paul A. Clyde on February 14, 1949. He preceded her in death May 8, 1996. Mary was a homemaker most of her life and became a second mother to many neighborhood children. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Taymouth. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching wheel of fortune, listening to music, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed flower gardening and tending to her roses. Mary was known for always dressing classy and loved socializing with people. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Susan Pannutti, Linda (Sam) Snyder, Janet (John) Scheffler, Lori (Chester) Pogoreski, Paul E. (Christina) Clyde, Mary Beth (Michael) MacLean; Grandchildren: Michelle (William) DeLullo, Robert Pannutti, Sam Snyder, Jr., Philip (Jennifer) Snyder, John Scheffler, Jody (David) Funk, Joshua Stephens, Adam Stephens, William (BJ) Pogoreski, Paul J. Clyde, Jacklyn Clyde, David Clyde, Alex MacLean, and Nolan MacLean; Great grandchildren: Sam III, Philip Jr., Carson, Addison, and Evelyn; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Mary was also preceded in death by: Son in law, Joseph Pannutti; Granddaughter, Susie Jo; Siblings: Grace Bosley, Jim Ruby, Howard Ruby, Tom Ruby, Jack Ruby, Barbara Misitano, and Bertha Mae Masone.
