DESHAW, Betty J. – Of Swartz Creek, age 101, died Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Springvale Assisted Living in Swartz Creek.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no showing or visitation.
Inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Betty was born in Durand, Michigan on February 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Carrie Westfall.
On December 26, 1941 she married Willard J. Deshaw.
Betty was employed by AC Spark Plug Division in Flint, retiring after 30 years of service and belonged to UAW #651, retiring in 1974.
Surviving are daughter, Sheri and husband Ken Knox of Prescott, Michigan;
son, James W. and wife Carrie Deshaw of Lebanon, Tennessee;
daughter, LynnAnn and husband Paul Betz of Peoria, AZ;
12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard J. Deshaw; son, Willard “Bill” J. Jr.; daughter, Teri Flauding and granddaughter, Michelle Flauding.
