Diana May Caverly McKeever McNiel on Thursday afternoon, August 18th, 2022, Diana McNiel of Flint Twp peacefully embarked upon her next great journey at the earthly age of 79. On a day in May 1943, Diane (her preferred moniker) entered our realm in Detroit, MI to Robert and Geraldine (Bilca) Caverly, was raised by Carl and Mary (Canja Cuffe) McKeever and beloved brother Robert Cuffe. She lived in the Flint area all of her life, graduated from Flint Central HS and was once married for 21 yrs to Robert McNiel, father of her 3 sons, Scott, Brian and Kevin. Diane worked for many years in the Genesee Co Court system from which she retired. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bowling and especially attending all of her son's athletic events. Those who knew Diane understood she was very competitive whether it be Euchre club, Bunco night or playing her online casino games. Diane's departure was preceded by her parents Robert and Geraldine, Carl and Mary, her sister Dawn (Caverly) Stadler and sister in law Janet (Oswald) Cuffe. She left behind sons Scott and his wife Kris (Lurvey), Brian, Kevin and granddaughter Isabella McNiel, brother Robert Cuffe, sister Roberta (Caverly Becker) Harrison, several nieces, nephews and cousins all hold a special place in her heart and her 14+ yr old chocolate lab Lacy Lou.
