HOOPER, Leo D. “Duane”– of Davison, age 83, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Fountains Golf and Banquet, 6060 Maybee Road, Clarkston, MI 48346; Chaplain Paul Mabry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or Smile Train, in Duane’s memory.
Duane was born in Pontiac, MI on May 24, 1940, son of the late Leo and Lorna (Wright) Hooper. He married Dorothy Stonehouse on January 8, 1981. Duane’s passion was hunting, golfing, fishing, football and softball, but his greatest love was spending time with family and friends.
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy “Dottie”; children, Bryan (Donna) Hooper, Craig (Tonya) Hooper, Barry (Jacqueline) Hooper and Jerry Kitchen; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Kitchen.
