GATICA, Linda Lou “Lulu” – of Flint, age 73, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at home with her family by her side. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and a service will be held later when it is safe for all to gather. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for services at a future date.
Linda was born May 10, 1947 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late Sipriano & Maria Guadalupe Gatica. She lived in the Flint area her entire life and graduated from Beecher High School. Linda worked for many years with several schools within the Flint Public School system as a Paraprofessional. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint. In her free time, Linda enjoyed doing crafts, taking trips up north, stopping by the casino’s and watching the Detroit Tigers. But above all she loved the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are her: Siblings, Janie (Dave) Phaneuf, Sarah Gatica, Teresa Holifield, Karen (James) Gatica-Slaght and Felipe Gatica; Nieces & Nephews: Celia (Robert) Dell, Holly Gatica, Angie Gatica, Belinda (James) Allen, Eugene (Amy) Gatica, Jesse (Stacy) Gatica, Robert (Katie) Gatica and Alex Holifield; Great Nieces & Nephews, Anessia, Maraya, Ethan, Aiden, Adam, Nathanuel, Gavin and Jonas; God Daughter, Courtney Gatica; Special Aunt, Gloria Quinones; Aunt & Uncle Mawrisio & Shirley Gatica along with their daughters; Special Sister in Law Ulalia Tallman. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sipriano and Maria; Brothers, Guadalupe “Bob” Gatica and Gene Gatica. The family would also like to give a very special “Thank You” to McLaren Hospice for all of their loving care for Linda in her final days.
