MATTORD, Theresa "Faye" - age 90, of Fenton, died February 23, 2022. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Faye was born September 29, 1931 in Cooks, MI, the daughter of Ameddee and Leah (DeMars) Wilson. She married Clemens Mose Mattord on July 6, 1949 in Nadeau, MI and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2007. She and her husband owned and operated Giles Restaurant in Fenton for 25 years. She was a Golden Eagle with the Fenton Eagles Club and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are: five daughters, June (Jim) Gatewood of Delaware, Judy Yelle of Fenton, Janet Petts of Fenton, Joyce (Randy) Malzahn of Owosso, and Jayne (Ken) Schultz of Fenton; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Mary Alice Weber, Sally Hopp, Jack (Kathy) Wilson, Joe (Rita) Wilson, and Janet Davis. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clemens; four sons, John, Joe, Jim and Jeff; and one daughter, Joann Huntley.
