Germaine A. Pomeroy, age 90, died Jan. 10, 2021 at home in Burton. She was born January 30, 1930 in Meadow Bridge, WV to Delbert and Mildred Gwinn. She married her Prince Charming, Clifford Pomeroy, in July 1946 and they enjoyed almost 74 years of marriage before he passed away in February 2020. We know they are celebrating, with Jesus, together in their final home. Their love and respect for each other has always been an inspiration to their family as well as others. Leaving to cherish her memory are her three children; Trudy Erwin, Jim(Sally) Pomeroy, and Greg Pomeroy. Additionally, she leaves four granddaughters that she loved beyond measure and who entertained and loved her the same and who will forever cherish their sassy, classy grandma, Jamie(Dan) Whitten, Julie(Jeff) Peake, Sheri(Scott) Petrowski, and Erin(Jason) Matthews. She also leaves seven great grandchildren, Seth(Sami) Whitten, Dylan Whitten, Avery Whitten, Tony Mastin, Layne Petrowski, Paige Petrowski and Winnie Matthews; as well as her brother Kelly Gwinn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her "son", Tony; parents; siblings, Delbert Jr., Bob, Rex, and Linda Lowe. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
