Harold Raymond Everson, age 87, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Harold was born on April 5,1936 in Belington, West Virginia, and was the fourteenth of seventeen children born to Madge (Wagner) and Roy Everson. He had many fond memories of his childhood growing up on a farm with such a big family. In his younger years Harold enjoyed playing baseball. Harold moved to Michigan to work at General Motors and it was there that he met Brenda McCulley. They were married October 18, 1958. Harold loved the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening. He especially loved his corn and big tomatoes and he also loved growing flowers. Harold enjoyed hunting and was an avid beagler going to trails and watching them run. He was also a member of the Mt. Morris Church of Christ.
Surviving are his three children: Michael (Sharryl) of Washington MI, Shelly (Shawn) of Grand Blanc, MI and Craig of Flint, MI, grandchildren: Ryan Everson, Rachael Everson, Aaron Andrus, Nicholas Everson and Jake McNiel, sisters: Helen Ketchem, Kathern (Loye) Foye and Geneva Poe and many other family and friends.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife Brenda, parents, nine brothers and four sisters.
A memorial gathering for Harold will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. A memorial service will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home.
