CARE, Vincent – Of Grand Blanc, age 75, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
The family will receive friends for visiting from 9:00am-10:30am on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
A Graveside Committal will follow at 11:00am on Thursday at Great Lakes National Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army.
Vince was born in Flint, Michigan on August 20, 1946, the son of Vincenzo Luigi and Florence Constance (Skoskie) Care. Vince proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On November 22, 1968 he married Linda Joyce Adams.
He is survived by his devoted wife and his sister Karen (Ron) Siegwald; his children David Vincent (Kathy) Care and Regina Ann Payne (Jeff James); his four beloved granddaughters Salina Diane (Robert) Towery , Sloane Rae James, Anna Victoria and Lucia Santina Care; his beloved great grandsons Robert Lee Jr., Nohlan Izaac and Ian Zander Towery.
Vincent was preceded in death by siblings Phyllis (George) Bachman, Corkey Huff, Aldo (Ruth) Care, and Christine Care.
Vince had 38 years of service as a Journeyman Millwright at Buick City and was a proud member of the UAW Local 599. He was a graduate of Northern High School class of 1964, where he was an All-State basketball player. After Vincent retired, he and Linda enjoyed many happy years, wintering in Apache Junction, AZ and summering on their Fenton farm. Vince will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Vince’s name to a charity of their choice.
