LURVEY, Ilean W. – of Clio, age 88, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Lodges of Durand. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Mark Alba officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Navajo Relief Fund.
Ilean was born May 25, 1930 in Corning, Arkansas to the late John R. and Sarah E. (Isaacs) Parker. She was first married to Nelson Muma. Ilean then later remarried to George Weaver. He preceded her in death in 1985. She then remarried to Gladwin Lurvey. Gladwin preceded her in death in 2000. Ilean retired from AC Spark plug in 1983 after 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #651. She was also a member of VFW Post #4087 in Davison. Ilean enjoyed reading, gardening, reading and hunting. She also enjoyed traveling and taking care of others. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Children: David Muma, Nelson (Margaret) Muma and Sharon (Doug) Muma-Smith; A cumulative of 41 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and countless other loving family members in spirit. She was also preceded in death by: Daughter, Vivian; Son, Randall Muma and many other loving family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice nurses and staff at the Lodges of Durand for their exceptional care of Ilean.
