GERKE, Steven – of Clio, age 68, died Thursday, December 19, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be to the Charity of Choice.
Steven was born on February 19, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to Paul and Lorraine Gerke. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Steven attended Clio Schools and graduated with the class of 1974. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 35 years, with four different trucking companies and was employed at Sharco Express until September, 2024. Steven was a do’er, a giver, and enjoyed helping his mother.
Left to cherish his memory: his mother, Lorraine Gerke; his brother, Randy and his wife Barbara; his sister, Janice; three nieces, Cecelia and her husband Ryan, Melissa, Becca and her family. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gerke.
Rest in Peace Steve, you were a wonderful son, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend.
