HADDIX, Floyd Lee, Sr. - Age 88, of Davison, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 20 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. (His service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on his obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Pastor Doug Connelly and Pastor Al Yerke officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday; and 9:30-11 AM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Carriage Town Ministries, or DMC Children’s Ministry.
Floyd was born April 3, 1934 in Hazard, KY, the son of Troy and Lillie Mae (Thorpe) Haddix. He married Wilma Turner on September 10, 1954 in Jackson, KY. Floyd worked as a machine repairman for General Motors for 37 1/2 years, retiring in 1991. He loved to fish, but most of all he loved his family!
Surviving are: his beloved wife of 67 years, Wilma; 3 children, Vonda (Dave) Roop of Tennessee, and Dale Haddix of Swartz Creek, Sandy (John) White of Davison; grandchildren, Amy, Charity, Kimberly, Katelyn, Troy, Josh, and Rob; great grandchildren, Caylah, Andrew, Angel, Hunter, Grey, Stella, Anderson Floyd; and great great grandchildren, Kacien, Ryan, Spencer, and Shane.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; son, Floyd, Jr.; granddaughter, Stephanie; sisters, Lovell, Jesse, Beverly, and Patricia; and brothers, Roy and Lewis. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
