ANDERSON, Edwin Roger, Sr. - age 81, of Linden, died May 19, 2021. Funeral service will be held 3 PM Monday, May 24, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street Linden, MI 48451. Interment will be held privately at Great Lakes National Cemetery at another date. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 3 PM Monday at the funeral home. Edwin was born July 12, 1939 in Fenton, the son of Alexander Nelson and Mildred May (Rogers) Anderson. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Edwin married Carol Jean McNie on March 19, 1966. He retired from General Motors after 42 years. Edwin loved his dog, Dakota, watching Westerns, especially John Wayne, camping and spending time outdoors. Surviving are: wife, Carol; four children, Rebecca Hurd, Tim (Kristi) Anderson, James Anderson, and Jodi Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Theresa Anderson; many nieces and nephews; very special friends, Terry and Dawn Timmins and Joe and Becky Szcodronski.
