KOPASZ, Deborah Ann – of Vassar, MI, age 68, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 10, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Dieudonné Ntakarutimana officiating. Interment in St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery, Omer, MI. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 and 10-11 AM Friday, April 10, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in Deb’s memory.
Deb was born in Flint, MI on December 5, 1957, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Boyer) Kopasz II. She was a graduate of Davison High School, Class of 1976. Deb found joy in life’s simple pleasures and had a deep love for music—especially the timeless songs of Elvis Presley. Whether she was listening or singing along, music was a constant source of happiness and expression for her. Deb had a creative spirit and a curious mind. She enjoyed reading and could often be found immersed in a good book, while her love for crafting allowed her to create thoughtful, handmade pieces that reflected her warmth and personality. She also had a fun-loving side and enjoyed bowling, where laughter and friendly competition brought her even more joy. Above all, Deb cherished time spent with her family. They were the center of her world, and the moments shared together were what she valued most. Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Deb is survived by 5 siblings, Bob (Peggy) Kopasz, Ron (Trish) Kopasz, Sharon "Sis" Cantrell, Sue Kopasz and Brenda (David) Sprague; sister-in-law, Michelle Kopasz; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Kopasz II; 2 brothers, Larry “Babe” Kopasz and Patrick Kopasz and special niece, Tracy Cantrell.
