SELLECK, Ella – of Flint, MI age 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jim Pryor officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, and before the service at 12 PM on Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home.
Ella was born in Hart, MI on April 16, 1927, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Swihart) Strayer. She married Max Selleck on April 12, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2007. She was the loving mother of 5 daughters. Ella was an avid golfer and bowler. She and Max were members of the Road Runners Square Dance Club. She enjoyed many activities, including baking and sewing. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Ella retired after 20 years as a nurse in the cardiac care unit at Hurley Medical Center.
Ella is survived by her 5 daughters, Linda (Al) Dickenson, Christine (Richard) Thompson, Victoria Burton, Diane (Patrick) Wilson and Lisa (Mike) Brown; 7 grandchildren, Marc, Stacy, Jordon, Melissa, Danny, David and Tamara; 14 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; sister, Sandra Slinglend; sister-in-law, Jean Adle; the church ladies from Richfield Road United Brethren Church; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lena Lou Reisch, Carol Pennell and Juanita Boyer; and son-in-law, Ronald Burton.
