MENNE, Wayne John, Sr. – of Davison, MI, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment, with Military Honors, 1:30 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442.
Wayne was born in Clio, MI on January 5, 1938, son of the late John and Hilda (Janke) Menne. He served in the United States Army as a Communications Specialist from 1956 – 1960. Wayne held several jobs throughout his lifetime and enjoyed outdoor work. In his later years, he became an avid reader, enjoyed visits from his family and grandchildren and Detroit Tiger baseball games.
Wayne is survived by his 3 children, Joseph (Magy) Menne, Brenda (Rick) O’Connor and Wayne (Boby Jo) Menne, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jeannette Kraus, Lois Inman and Rosella Eldridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hilda Menne; 3 sisters Virgina Barber, Ilene Stiff and Jacqueline Allen; 2 brothers, Frank Menne and Michael Menne.
