Blythe Elene Lyon, age 93, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at home with her family by her side.
She was born January 12, 1927 to the late Bert and Hazel (Tubbs) Austin in Pontiac, MI. Blythe married Ronald Lyon on June 26, 1944 in Mayville. She worked in the cafeteria at Mayville High School.... aka, the ice cream lady. Blythe enjoyed 80's country music, Elvis, crafts, crochet and spending time with family.
Blythe is survived by her children, Dale (Betty) Lyon, Roger (Alyce) Lyon, LuAnn (Tim) Carey and Darren Lyon; grandchildren, Danise Lyon, Brett (Misty) Lyon, Keri (Kirk) Murray, Ean (Shaune) Carey and Krista (Roger) Ransom; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cole, Shiloh, Christopher, Kali, Logan, Rachael, Nathan, Olivia, Conner and Emily; dog, Sophia; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ronald; son, Barry; and brother, Lorren.
The Family will receive visitors from 2-6 PM Sunday, November 8, 2020 and Monday, November 9, 2020 from 10-11 AM at the Avram Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 9, 2020 at Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St., Mayville, MI.
Due to the Covid 19 regulations we will adhere to the strict guidelines and are asking all visitors to bring a mask or face covering during visitation and service.
Burial will follow in Watertown Township Cemetery.
