Arlene Mae Jordan
Age 82, of National City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023. Arlene was born to the late Ollie and Margaret (Hoeppner) Burtch on December 17, 1940 in West Branch, Michigan. She was raised in Skidway Lake, Michigan, and was a graduate of the first ever Whittemore-Prescott High School graduating Class of 1959. Following high school, Arlene moved to National City, Michigan and married the love of her life, George Jordan on June 11, 1960. The two spent the next 59 years together happily married in National City before George’s passing in 2019. Arlene worked as a homemaker as she took on the duties of looking after the house and children she and George had together. Some of her favorite hobbies over the years consisted of fishing, hunting, gardening flowers, camping, casino trips, bingo, and most importantly spending quality time with her family. Arlene had a very friendly and caring personality, and she will be missed dearly by many.
Arlene is survived by her children, Tonda (Tom Roth) Jordan and Tony Jordan; sisters, Joyce, Sharon, and Francis; grandchildren Jarrett Roth and Amanda (Adam) Fleminger; her great-grandchildren, Alec and Ashton Fleminger; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, George Jordan; son, Todd Jordan; and sisters, Eleanor, Donna, Shirley, and Mary.
Per Arlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. Any memorial contributions may be made towards Compassus Hospice Group, The Care Team Hospice Group, or the Iosco County Meals on Wheels Foundation.
