MILLER, Bonnie L. – age 80, of Flint, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family hour will be from 10 AM, Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. Bonnie will be forever interred with her mother, Virginia, at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Jonathan Wass officiating. Bonnie was born November 10, 1942, in Detroit. After decades of service, she retired from AC Spark Plug, General Motors Division. Bonnie was the consummate giver. Everyone who met her felt as if she were their friend. She was tough on the exterior but had a soft spot for helping others. Bonnie loved playing dominos, listening to music, and keeping everyone in the loop with the happenings from her scanner. She could always be counted on for late night phone calls with the latest news. She is survived by son Darren Miller; daughters Shimene Gray and Yeshimbra (Lisa) Miller; brothers Kip Wilken, Tim Wilken and Mark (Karen) Anderson; grandchildren Robert Miller III, Derran Miller, Darren Charles Miller Jr., DeeAnna Miller, Nicholas Jackson, LaShanique Miller, Nikki Taylor, DaJuan Taylor, Dana Taylor, Christian Birdsong, and Joshua Birdsong; niece Sara Senn; loving sisters-in-law Frances Miller and Earselene Miller; Goddaughter Nafeesa Thomas, devoted friend Andrea Hollins; and a host of other friends, relatives, and loved ones. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Anderson and Karl Wilken, brother Dale Anderson, and beloved son, Robert Lee Miller Jr. The family would like to give a special thank you to the administration, staff, and nurses at McFarlan Home and The Care Team Hospice for their extraordinary support, compassion, patience, and care. We are forever grateful. |
