Harriett Bishop, age 87 passed away on February 18, 2025.
Harriett was preceded in death by husbands Frank Ustishen, Jr, and Bernie Bishop. Harriett and Bernie resided in New Lothrop, MI. After Bernie’s death, Harriett moved to Montrose, MI where she was active in the Senior Center. She loved playing euchre, shopping at garage sales, baking cakes and cookies, going to the casino, planting flowers each Spring and pampering her cat Sam. She loved reading Danielle Steele books. When younger, Harriett enjoyed bowling and dancing. Surviving Harriett are her daughters, Susan (John) Dean and Sharon (John) Bippus, and grandson Andrew Belcher.
The family wishes to express gratitude for those that sent cards or visited Harriett over the past year while she was a resident of Legacy Assisted Living Center in Jackson, MI. followed by a brief stay at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice House. The family also acknowledges the great care that Harriett received at both facilities.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life for will be planned for later this Spring. At that time, burial of her ashes will take place next to Bernie’s grave at Saint Michael Catholic Church Cemetery, Maple Grove Township. |
